Kostya Tszyu & Meldrick Taylor serve as the undercard to Manny Pacquiao vs Oscar De La Hoya in a Jr Welter double header. All men at their best.

    Who are your winners?

    Taylor beats Tszyu by decision.

Strange as it may sound (based on what really happened when they actually shared the ring), I might actually lean towards De La Hoya prime vs prime. Wouldn't bet a penny on it, but, it would be a great fight.

Meldrick Taylor was brilliant at junior-welter. The way he beat Buddy McGirt (a classy fighter), ruined John Meekins and had no problem getting in the trenches with anyone.

This became his undoing but only Chavez+Richard Steele could beat him, barely.

Never the same after that fight but still took a welter title from the dangerous Aaron Davis (terrific fight+ko of Mark Breland) but struggled at the weight and the losses to Norris, España and Chavez rematch were sad to see.

Meldrick at his peak is too fast for Tszyu. Over 15 he might even stop him out of sheer attrition but probably on points.

De La Hoya via late round stoppage.

De La Hoya at his best was a damn good fighter which I think gets forgotten a bit with career as a promoter and his out of boxing problems.
