140lb weight class is useless

  1. why would he not do weigh ins on fightnight? I think he wants to keep the image that he is a small ww that doesnt belong there and thereofre deserves credit whoever he faces just because they are bigger. Just like pac gets. Remember how always is tripping that he too weighed 106 once. I think he wants to be viewed from the same perspective and get more credit for his wins above 135.
Also him being 147 at fightnight would stop people from saying that he should move up to 154 or even 160 and show some balls.
who should I fight martinez at 160? I barely weigh 147 on fight night... or I dont want to face martinez and move up even though I weigh 157 on fightnight nowadays. I dont actually care about it by the way its just my view on the matter.

Gotta disagree here. For one, Uncle Rico already put the fight night weigh-ins in the post below yours.

Secondly, you're taking the welterweights as they are now without mentioning the welterweight scene about a year or so ago. Also, Floyd is bigger now. Look at the difference in his fight between Hatton and then look at his fight against Mosley. Dude is bigger.

A year or so ago; Cotto, Margarito, Clottey and Mosley(along with Mayweather) were near the top of the division. Cotto entered the ring at 160+, Margarito entered the ring at 160+, Mosley said in a fanhouse video that he enters the ring at 160+, and the biggest of them all Clottey enteres the ring at 160+ (supposedly 170 in the Corrales fight). These guys are all MUCH bigger than Bradley, Alexander, Khan, Maidana.

Berto on the other hand is a very small welterweight who has though about going down to 140.

I think it's good because it opens a space for a guy like Bradley, who is probably too small to be elite at welterweight (he's pretty small for Jr Welterweight as it is).

    it's boxing, buddy!

it's not always going to be 'weight' as the main determiner, but many others; what people want is one of the them.

    MONEY TALKS!

According to ******* logic, those guys fight severly dehydrated. If the made the jump up to 147 lbs, they would immediately find superhuman powers and topple fighters well over their weight range.

Because Pacquiao got his ass kicked at 130 lbs vs Marquez, the ******* would want you to believe that fighters are at their best when they dont put on weight from the official weighin to when they step into the ring.

Duck Dodgers of course is a bonafide ******* who preaches Pacroid was dehyrated when he got his ass kicked by Marquez.
.....his logic now is, "see, look at what Pac is doing now that he's not dehydrating to make the weight."
.....forgetting of course that the same Pacquiao that got his ass handed to him by Marquez, was obliterating Morales, MAB, and others at the same 130 lbs weight.:deal

......however, Dodger is so dumb, he's now preaching that 140 pounders putting on weight after the weighin are at an advantage!

Floyd comes in at a 148 to 149 on fight night, the only time he was ever in the 150's was when he fought de la hoya.
