Is it? I didn't know that...thanks for making me aware of it. :huh Pacquiao weighing in at 149lbs would be fine, it is between 147.1 and 154lbs (150lbs). You should not be allowed to win a World Title if you weigh below or above the weight class range! Forget all advantages and disadvantages either opponent has, and forget the catch-weights...winning a World Title at said weight class means you are, or are amongst the best boxers in that weight class range, weighing above or below that range should disqualify you from winning a World Title at said weight class. Let Margarito and Pacquiao fight, let them have a catch-weight...I'd rather see a bout than not. But don't throw in a vacant Light Middleweight title in a catchweight fight, were one boxer is not allowed to weigh the maximum weight range, and the other doesn't even make it within the Light Middleweight range. What if Margarito weighed above the 150lbs limit...would the title not be on the line? Or what if Margarito weighed above 154lbs whilst Pacquiao weighed below 147.1lbs...would the title still be on the line? And would it be right?
How about go **** yourself and try reading all my post(s) and not just picking random sentences out trying to be insulting/funny (You didn't succeed at either by the way).
Reply to me when you are not drawn into this childish '*****' '*******' bull****...you know you don't have to pick a side, you can just watch and support boxing whilst having favourites at the same time don't you? (I'm a Mayweather and Pacquiao fan)
Some people are so stupid, or so ill informed. Let me say this loud and clear for those of you in the cheap seats: There is no minimum weight limit for the weight classes. Period, end of story. There never has been. As stated above, a featherweight could challenge for the HW championship, or cruiserweight or MW etc weighing only 126 IF he could get the fight sanctioned. Period. The only reason some fights arent allowed due to weight difference is for health and safety issues, not because of weight class restrictions. Anyone who doesnt understand that doesnt know **** about boxing.
