Manny Pacquiao (if still active) Ryan Garcia Devin Haney Jose Ramirez Josh Taylor Regis Prograis Gervonta Davis Mikey Garcia Vergil Ortiz Teofimo Lopez
Thurman, Porter, Spence, Danny, and Crawford will all probably be at 154 by then because they're all big boys.
You're kidding yourself if you think any will fight each other. We'll be lucky if any of them fight Luis Collazo
I can't conceive a scenario that Manny would still be active in 22'. Tank may already be out of his depth at LW, let alone WW. I question how effective Prograis (I'm a big fan of Regis) is at WW. I think Haney, Josh, and Lopez all have the bodies that could be successful at that weight. I think Vergil is already a real problem for everyone at the weight. Undecided on Jose Ramirez. Mikey is Mikey, he's gonna be top 10 wherever he is. Ryan Garcia at WW? No comment
Pac wants the money for his inevitable presidential run. Seriously doubt that he's gonna fight this year (or any boxer is gonna fight this year). So that leaves next year assuming this COVID-19 thing is under control by then and he can fight once or twice and then a farewell fight in 2022. Garcia, Haney, and even Stevenson are some big ass kids and they're not done growing. All 3 are close to 6' tall. Ortiz, Ramirez, and Taylor are also very tall. It might the tallest Welterweight class ever.
Yeah right it has exciting potential but guys get to 147 and turn to total divas.. To fight somebody in the top 5 they’ll demand upwards of $5 million plus and would proceed to stall the fight as long as possible.. Then when they fight it’s an underwhelming display of boxing.. This division is the epitome of “I’m the A side”..
