They were both horrendous at the weight. A terrible hypothetical matchup IMO

Gatti is shockingly overrated though; Hatton would beat him at 140. At 147, the weight Baldomir and Alfonso Gomez beat Gatti at, you have to go with the Hatton that beat Collazo to get rid of Gatti before he runs out of gas.

The Hatton of the Mayweather fight beats any version of Gatti, at any weight you which to choose.

It has been said before Hatton had under-rated boxing skills, he didnt use them all the time but I feel if he fought Gatti, he would have had the opportunity to use them.

Hatton late stoppage or wide UD if they had ever fought.

Hatton is being really underrated if people are comparing him to a gatekeeper/clubfighter like Gatti.

    What is going on?

Nah, people just rate Gatti FAR too highly based on the fact he is popular, same as Corrales, though he was slightly better than Gatti IMO.

Corrales was a very good fighter, comparable to Hatton himself I'd say.... I wouldn't argue if people said one way or the other.

Gatti is at least two levels below that, though he does earn points for being prepared to face the best fighters..... even though most of those fights only came true because he sold tickets.

At 140 it would be entertaining enough but one-sided, at 147 it would be total destruction, whether it was the Gatti of the DLH fight or at the *** end of his career.

    Who voted for Gatti?

Hatton wins this all day everyday.

Gatti's not a bad fighter by any means, but at 140 or above it has to Hatton's fight. No question about it.

Strange poll (the 147 part). Can't see any reason why this fight would have taken place at 147.

Hatton all day long for me regardless of the weight.

I bet the guy who made the poll thought if he put 147 in the thread title, the vote and discussion would be more evenly split but not so.

Hatton would smash him to bits at 140, the fight at 147 would have been more competitive but Hatton would still have beaten him easily.
