The day before the JLC fight Ricky was still training hard to loose the weight to fight at 140 and all this takes much needed energy,Hattons camp have said for his last fight at 147 they made him add the weight and that slowed him down,if Hatton aims for his 140 weight and is a pound or so over he wont need to drain himself days before to loose it,could this work in his favour because hatton is one of the most relentless pressure fighters out ther and needs all the energy he can muster?

Well, he applied good pressure to Collazo. Collazo even waved hatton in and welcomed to a punch fest on his body. Ricky declined after noticing it had no effect. I am tired of the ****ing excuses for hatton at 147, he cannot fight there no matter how he trains. The guys there would treat him like a pesky little guy that he is. He does not have the ability to hurt them like they can hurt him. Cotto would demolish hatton at 147. Cotto has more power and faster hands and has proven himself to be better at 147 with no excuses.

Yeah but if hatton was still training hard to make weight the day before the fight, how come he weighed in under 140 at the weigh in which was more than 24 hours (ie a day) before the fight. Research this sport a bit before you call me a twat, Twat.

so you think going in at 140 or there abouts is wise?People do forget that with Rickys hight he really is a natural light welta and he is brave to come out of his comfort zone, thanks for pointing that out.

I agree that coming in under the limit would help him in fights Ricky cannot hack @ 147. Too much talent and he knew this after the Collazo fight.
