There are many great fighters at 147 and hopefully we get some great fights in the next year or two. Here are some of the fights that I personally want to see this year..... let me know what match ups you want to see

Paul Williams vs Margarito - For obvious reasons I want to see the rematch. Considered by most to be the 2 best welterweights, both guys have good chins and exciting styles. The first fight was exciting and the rematch wouldn't disappoint!

Kermit Cintron vs Miguel Cotto - When I heard that this fight was possible for the february double header with Pavlik, I was extremely excited. Of Course Arum had to **** it up and now Cotto is fighting a god damn tomato can. I really don't see a way in which this fight would not be exciting, I think Cintron is underrated and could definitely win by KO... but, I think Cotto's technical skills and body shots gives him this one!

Andre Berto vs Joshua Clottey Berto is very fun to watch, the guy has incredible handspeed and puts punches together great (especially that left hook -left uppercut combo) Clottey has a rock solid chin, and is a very powerful WW. If Berto can find a way to keep Clottey on the defensive and if he can actually break Clottey's guard or at least get around it, then my guess is he wins. Berto still is untested, but I don't think he'll disappoint.

These are of course close fights in my books, thats why I would like to see them all. Just going with my gut on the predictions.

Nub Nubly approves your picks and agrees with your outcomes. Berto does have the tools to KO clottey though and Nubs think cintron could go earlier than the 10th

    My list..

Margo - Williams II: A second fight should be just as good as the first.

Pacquiao - Mayweather: I guess this fight could possibly take place at 140 or a welterweight catchweight but it must happen. It's the biggest fight that can be made in all of boxing.

Cotto - Clottey: I can see this being a good fight or a one-sided beatdown. Either way I'd like to see what happens.

Cintron - Berto: I just wanna see if Berto's chin can stand up to a big punch.

Those would all be very good fights. At least we're getting one very good fight coming in the summer though: Cotto vs. Margarito :D

What is giving so many of you this ridiculous impression????

    Do tell. I'm all ears...

The best and only fight that makes any sense right now is PW - AM II. Period.

I would love to see Clottey beat Cotto's ass to sleep.
And a Clottey-AM rematch wouldn't be bad either.

Eh, only ones who want to see that rematch are Clottey fans because that 1st fight was prety damn dull. I don't care to see that again.

Well count me in as a clottey fan.. Which I am.

But still, I think he takes Margo in a rematch.

Possibly.. but I don't see Margo giving him a rematch anytime soon. If Clottey ever wants a shot at the champ again he's going to have to beat the crap out of a contender or two in order to create demand for the fight.
