Yeah making it an even number was just stupid. Too many draws.

This thread has been done many times. I would go with 13. Some fighters just don't know when to stop and refs don't help. Health wise, it is very dangerous. Say a Meldrick vs Chavez fight. Yes, I know the fight was going to end, but just say the bell rung. Meldrick would have gone another three rounds taking a beating even though I thought he was winning the fight. Just an example.

I miss the old 15 rounders. It changed the whole complexion of the fight. Today, a good boxer can out hustle a persistent, but less skilled brawler for 12 rounds. But add three more and the scale started tipping back the other wa. Those were true championship rounds.

The took them away for a reason and they wont bring them back.

The only way I see that happening is that boxing eventually gets banned because society thinks it is to barbaric and it goes underground. Not as farfetched as it sounds.

They were trialing 11 round fights just recently, in an attempt to elminate draws.

Yeah I think it was the WBC or one of the other bodies that decided to make local championship bouts(Americas WBC Belt, etc) 11 rounds. Weird if you ask me.

What scares me about long fights is having to watch someone like Ruiz(of old) the full 45 mins of anti-action.

would love to see 15 rd. fights but so much punishment for the fighters so i say go to 13 and get rid of draws and **** like that 12 rds is sooooo stupid its unreal..go to 13 its only 3 more minutes not alot more punishment and would solve alot of things and make boxing more popular because draws would go down so so much

    Did they to?

Because the PABA, which is the asia-pacific regional belt for the WBA, trialled them in the last 6 months.

Yeah it is weird, doesnt feel right.

Always been in favor of it. I thought it was a travesty when the eliminated the championship rounds 20 or so years ago, and I still do.

The should have 15 rounds on PPVs! The boxer celebrities tries to spar their way through a paycheck so at least it will force them to fight for the hefty 55 dollars bs ppvs.

i say no. i'm too young to have seen the 15 round fights but there have been plenty of deaths in 12. i like boxing too much to watch fighters die in the ring.
but these fights ending in draws do kill it for me.

    lets go 13.
