Don´t know if this one had already been done but here it is. Personally, I think Patterson takes due to his speed-power compination and skill. Norton is bigger but that´s imho all he has on Patterson.
    What do you guys think?

I reckon it'd be a good action and skill packed tight fight

Both men fought on the inside. Both men could crack, but neither were knockout artists and neither had the most serviceable of chins.

My pick would probably be Norton by late stoppage or decision. Floyd may have been a slightly better technician, but he was very fragile, got floored by many fighters, and doesn't have my confidence to overcome an opponent who would be as physically formidable as Ken Norton. IOf course, a similar argument could be made for Ken in terms of durability, but most of the guys who either decked or floored Norton were on the world level, and some of them did it when he was out of prime.

Over 15, could go either way, but Norton may squeak by over Patterson, but it would be a very good fight.

I think Patterson would win a decision. At his best when he beat Ingo in the rematch he was a quality fighter and his handspeed was very special.

I think Patterson's fast hands and underrated power would take him to victory over Norton. Patterson kept getting up against Ingo, and only Liston was able to keep him down, and Norton's power didn't match either one of those guys. Patterson scores two knockdowns en route to a 13 round tko.

I lean towards Norton. Much bigger, good jab along with a reach advantage plus a very good overhand right. Patterson at around 190 or so doesn't match up with the 210-220lb physical specimen that Norton was. Plus Patterson doesn't have the power to stop Norton. Foreman, Shavers and Cooney were genuine power punchers...far more powerful than Floyd. Ali and Holmes couldn't KO Norton and they both had the same power or maybe more than Patterson did and were bigger to boot. Norton by mid to late round KO.

Dam, Patterson was a natural lightheavy. He shouldn't even box Archie Moore. Now stick him in with Ken Norton and this would be like Bernard Hopkins vs Vitali Klitschko.

    He knocked Moore out.

And? Even Moore had no business in the HW division. Patterson's HW career was more or less a desaster due to his natural weight and chin. He'd better remained at lightheavyweight.

Norton takes Patterson over 15 rds and wins the nod......... Patterson not big or strong enough to keep Norton at bay in this dream fight.... Patterson hops around the ring like a rabbit while keeping his hands up, but not punching enough to get Norton's respect...... Norton applies the pressure and lands the harder blows overall....... Norton wins........

Norton did get KO'd by a blown up light heavyweight so it's not exactly an impossible thought that Patterson with all his speed and power could repeat it.

Chuvalo and Bonavena were no doubt as big and strong as Norton yet they weren't exactly able to walk through Patterson.

Size could be a big factor though and Norton at his best wasn't exactly slow either, but speed does often tell and few had the speed of Patterson. I imagine it would be a tough fight and not an easy one for either man.

Both were also noted for their unique defensive stances, Patterson with the peek-a-boo, Norton with the cross-arm. Interesting match-up.

    i'll go with norton.
i like floyd a lot but i don't think his tremendous speed is enough to last him against norton who is to big and strong for him.

Johansson and Quarry were bums compared to the man who won against Ali 'twice'. If Patterson doesn't lose this by KO he loses it by SD due to several KDs.
