The gym is NC, so for it to be in the south, I think 150 is insanity. If your doing BJJ then add crossfit or MT the price goes up. I know they have one many tourneys and I think have sent a couple people into the pros and have many amateurs, but i still had to walk up out of there...
There's one here in texas and they charge somewhere around that price. I know it's over 100 but they trained u bjj-kickboxing-boxing and other martial arts. But it's mainly if u want to be an mma fighter. I heard the total training can last up to 5 hours a day. That's freaking crazy.
Whist being enlisted men? 2 hours in the morning, 4 hours in the afternoon 6 days a week month after month in BKK, where do I sign up!
That sounds just like the Royce Gracie affiliate across town from my house. Personally, if it includes unlimited classes and use of the weight room, it may be worth it. Plus it depends on the quality of the facilities. If they have top notch shower, sauna, and swimming pool, that's always a bonus. Another gym near my house charges $180/month for unlimited classes as well as unlimited use of the fitness facilities, that's: - Gracie JiuJitsu, up to 3x per week - Judo, up to 4x per week - No-Gi Submission Wrestling, 1x per week - Karate, up to 2x per week - Muay Thai, up to 4x per week - Boxing, up to 2x per week - MMA, up to 2x per week - Krav Maga, up to 3x per week - Fight Fit, up to 2x per week (Circuit Training) And it's a little over $100/month if you pick only one martial art. They don't have bumper plates, so oly lifts would be somewhat limited. There's also a Pedro Sauer academy that offers classes in Filipino Martial Arts, but that **** is almost an hour away from me.
I know in Jacksonville the Gracie academy there was like 200 bucks if i'm not mistaken. There's a 10th Planet branch not far from my house that's 75 and they do BJJ, Muay Thai, wrestling, and MMA training which i'm assuming wraps it all together.
No.. Officers, NCO's, etc... They were just stationed in Thailand. Retired officers/whatever on Military bases are the best trainers IMO. Been around the world studying every art possible.
Just interested Anarchy, if you are a promising MMA or Muay Thai fighter do they give you time off to train for fights in the Marine Corps?
I dont really fight...The Corps have a fighting program and grappling tournaments. I'm currently a Purple Belt in BJJ, I have a USELESS Blackbelt in Taekwondoe, and do Muay Thai...but in reality, I have a basic 9-5 job in the Marines. I'm an NCO so when I get off work, I head straight to the gym. Monday, Wed, and Friday I do straight BJJ, and Tues, Thurs, and Sat I do straight Muay Thai/Kickboxing.
That's a good deal although sounds like a few too cross over arts. Skimpy fees frequenty means poor facilities and maintenance. Its really worth the extra money to train in a clean, fresh environment. Think of that extra $20-$30 gym fee and then think what doc and med fees cost.:deal
