After seeing this absolute war between Fondura and Lubin I couldn’t help but marvel at how the guys in that division are taking on all comers. 154 and 118 are the only divisions where guys are proven as all the contenders and champions has pretty much fought each other. Also I keep saying this but there’s a reason the guys at 147 are just staying put and not moving up. I can’t remember an era in the last 30 years where the WWs has stayed at the division 10+ years even after multiple defeats. That said I really want to see Fondura vs Hurd and Tony Harrison vs Julian Williams next..
If you check the division's talent pool it isn't bad. Light Middleweight/Super Welterweight Division (154lb) has: Brian Castano Jermell Charlo Sebastian Fundora Erickson Lubin Tim Tszyu Yoelvis Gomez Jesus Ramos Jarret Hurd Patrick Texeira (was robbed today) Israil Madrimov Magomed Kurbanov Tony Harrison Michel Soro Sergio Garcia Xander Zayas There is also the possibility of Welterweights (147lb) that will move up in that division such as: Yordenis Ugas Conor Benn Errol Spence Terence Crawford Vergil Ortiz Jaron Ennis Danny Garcia Radzhab Butaev Eimantas Stationis
Madrimov is better than all of them. D Don't forget Liam Smith and Jessie Vargas too who are fighting soon.
Crawford has never needed a gift decision to rise up the pro ranks. Fundora lost against Jamontay Clark
Good division and the guys fight each other and they're usually good fights when they do. Underrated division one of the best.
