Mostly because 160 is weak as hell at the moment. Welterweight ain't that great either though. After Manny and Mayweather, it's become somewhat of a wasteland.

168 by a landslide ... 154 is a bit boring right now maybe 2 3 years from now with lara and angulo probably anne wolfs criminal makes a comeback and canelo ...

I think a better debate right now is ... 168 vs 140 ... that's a pick em and thanks to the super 6 I think I'm gonna choose 140 ... infact ill choose those 2 divisions over any other 1 right now

Man, ESB is as done as america is. When freaks who know as much about boxing as old men do about twitter get to post freely on this forum, we have to, as real boxing fans, take a look maybe at starting an invite only
    type of new forum.

160 weak? C'mon man. you have future super talents like pirog(already world title holder) and golo. plus we have a fight signed b/n 2 ring magazine p4p'ers at this weight. Weak?

It's improving fast. There's a TON of young talent in the division, but very little of it is proven. I like Golovkin, N'Jikam, Pirog, Jacobs and Lemieux quite a bit, but the fact that all of them are on the fringes of the top 10 despite only Pirog ever having beaten someone better than a fringe contender means the division is pretty weak. The champ is a junior middleweight who's 1-1-1 in his last three fights. The guy he dethroned hasn't looked to hot lately. Sturm has been inactive and nearly lost to a guy Abraham smashed. Sylvester is horrible. And the rest of the guys in the top 15 or so are either guys who would be fringe contenders under normal circumstances (like Barker, Karmazin and Macklin) or green prospects who haven't fought anyone of note (Golovkin, N'Jikam, etc.)

While it's improving, the middleweight division for the past two years is probably the weakest it's been in the history of modern boxing.

Plus, the original post said to assume Martinez and Williams are at 154. I'm not going to assume they're both at 154 AND 160.

We can't include Martinez. He's the linear champ at 160, and diBella says he can't make 154.

 Is this a Serious question??

They're both have good match ups but this is really not up for debate...168 without a doubt has wayyyy more talent and way more interesting match ups than 154...Its quite obvious!
