Boxing should just add 155lbs as the new MW division limit or seriously start looking at revamping all the weights since alot of "catchweight" are being done in between current divisions. Seems to be a new trend that the one with drawing power sets the weight limit and fans and most everyone else are okay with it.

Most people are ok with catch weights when it's a fight between guys that are comfortable in their respective weight classes meeting somewhere near the middle to make a significant, big money fight.

Most people are NOT ok with primadonna's creating their own weight class to avoid real challenges.

The weight classes are fine the way they are for the most part and the fans need to hold said primadonna's to account and not support their bullsh it fights.

Maybe the sanctioning bodies should actually enforce the proper weight classes and stop this BS.

The irony is that the MW limit used to be 155 back in NP Dempsey's day.

For non title fights catch weights are OK. But for title fights it only diminishes the value of the belt so sanctioning bodies should do everything in their power to make sure the challenger is allowed to fight at the full weight. 3 years without a full 160 fight for the WBC belt simply degrades that particular belt's value to zero.

Corupted judges, more than one champion in division, catchweights - disaster for boxing. Sad but true .

just shows the problems in boxing with matchmaking. The fight is a joke and other fighting communities (like MMA and others) are rightfully laughing about it.
