Does Pavlik has the guts to fight Asikainen? Has he sent an offer to Finland? Me thinks not. I also think that Sylvester would jab Pavlik to death.

There is 1 proven fighter in the division. Somehow i don't think that equates to Golden Era.

I like AA but at this point he hasn't really beaten a top fighter so we won't know just what to make of him until a little further down the track.

He makes too many mistakes. I dont think he gets past Pavlik. But he probably can make a great run in the division and make a name for himself in this era of middle weights. Maybe, but who knows.

Full quoting is kind of silly....

Pavliks best opponent avaluable is not Hops. He is only looking for a payday. Kelly vs. Abraham is the fight were looking for. There are several other fights that will become nice matchups. Don´t always look at the past through pink lenses...

This Era might not be the golden era, but certainly not a bad one...

I think you're overrating Asikainen here. He's a big puncher but hasn't won a meaningful fight since the first Sylvester fight. I don't count beating a faded Campas as a meaningful fight. Asikainen does simply not deserve a shot at Pavlik just now, and why should Pavlik fight him? There's no interest in this fight outside Finland, and no money...

And I don't think Sylvester would jab Pavlik to death. Pavlik has a good jab too and would wear Sylvester, who is a decent fighter after all, down en route to a middle to late rds stoppage. I give Sylvester a 50/50 chance of beating Sturm tho...

Point being? Pavlik has an elite win on his resume, other than that it isn't special but its the best in the division.

I think Sturm is fairly underrated in this forum. If he can get back to his "Golden Boy" form he can trouble anyone over the rounds. For the fight against Sylvester I have it 60/40 for Sturm.

As for Abraham, he can win against anyone. If he catches Pavlik with a good shot he will win this one. He has the biggest one punch power in the division. On points though it´s hard to see him beat Kelly.

Abraham has never avoided a fighter. Pavlik just got the chance to fight against Taylor. So Pavliks resume is better because of this two fights, but Abraham is not far behind. Just the two best of the division at the moment.

I don't think Sturm is underrated. He isn't great to be honest.
