With Sergio's victory over pavlik last night there arises plenty of options for "the man", Martinez will at some stage have to pick a division and thus vacate either the middleweight straps or his 154lb wbc belt.

As the rumours persist of mundine gunning for the wba title in either of these divisions it is highly likely that martinez and his choice of division could open up even more opportunities for mundine and his quest for boxing supremacy.

He is going to achieve boxing supremacy by challenging for a vacated belt?

Wouldnt he want to fight the champion to achieve such a feat?

Mundine is hungry for belts, the decisions of martinez can have a knock on effect to the decisions of mundine - Australia's best boxer.

These are your responses to the unfolding situation at 154 and 160?

Golovkin has his own promotional issues and I doubt he will be the guy that fights for the belt.

    Fingers crossed.

The martinez situation should give mundine some scope for big fights after he secures his wba belt.

Mundine collecting belts will not create a great legacy. Plenty of guys do that nowadays. But the ones with a legacy worth talking about, meet the best fighters in their divisions. They don't think mmmmm Martinez is good, he holds titles at 154 and 160, 2 divisions i have aspirations in, i will fight for which ever title he vacates !! They say i will fight Martinez at either weight. Mundine has been around a while now, he has done nothing of note in world terms. He might be a big fish in Oz but he is an unknown quantity to the rest of the world.

154 and 160 Paul Williams or Martinez would go some way to starting a legacy.

160 why not fight Pavlik ? He struggles with movers and is a big name? I think Pav knocks Mundine out, but if he is one tenth as good as he says ?

His career at 168 was poor and will not be talked about by anyone but him in 5 years time. There will be no fantasy match ups talked about.
