160lb and 154lb divisions look promising for mundine

In the Falliga fight a catchweight had been agreed to when the contracts were signed, but unless I'm sadly mistaken, only days out Mundine's camp decided they'd go in heavier.

That's when they made that press announcement - see previous post - and I remember hearing it on the radio a few days before the bout.

 

I wasn't even hinting at an excuse, I was just stating a fact.

Pavlik's performance would have had to be substandard, that's all I'm saying..
At his best, he still may not have beaten the Argie, I'm not contesting the win.

To slap on that much weight that the system has to establish nourishment for, takes time. In 24 hours it will cope, but there would be an imbalance that would throw things out of whack.
It may only be a split second but at this level, it's what makes fighters Champions. If it's not there, it's "Out of the Limo & onto the bus"

 

Strangely it didn't seem to bother Angulo against Lenny Zappa. I know it meant only Lenny could actually win the title, but the guy's gone in about a kilo and a half over!
