Ok, before the PPV event, actually, a few days before it was signed. Ward suddenly wants to fight GGG after three years of being called out. Don't forget, he's a LHW. A LHW who said he needs two, three step up fights before facing someone like GGG or Kovalev.

So, what would you do? Fighting for a MW belt on PPV or fighting Ward at LHW for nothing, who wouldn't fight anyway?

Ward is a very easy win for Goovkin. Saying, to fight at 164, knocking him out within few rounds nd retiring him would be better for his aim of unifying all the MW belts. If he goes to 168 or even LHW, he wouldn't go back to his own division anymore.

This would mean, no fight against Canelo on PPV. This would mean, he can't go down like Canelo wants him to come down.

So, again.

Becoming a legend, becoming rich by unifying all the titles at 160, being a PPV fighter vs. fighting a nobody no one cares about, who gets knocked out within a few rounds, for no titles or whatever, who is two weight classes above?
