The only problem with Canelo demanding this is the belt, if he drops it he has every right to call anyone he wants out to 155. According to these GGG fanatics Canelo is bigger than GGG (which is complete and utter horse****), so GGG going down to 155 is an advantage.

I don't think it's a dumb statement at all. Golovkin continues to campaign at MW while Ward is now a LHW - Golovkin still wants all the belts at MW, so I believe that the Ward fight was proposed as a one off between men that were at that point separated by one division. This is NOT the case with the Canelo fight though. They are both ostensibly middleweight champs.

And, yes, I meant the millions of dollars, not buys. The money from a Froch fight in sterling is HUGE in the UK. Stadium stuff. And at the time, Chavez Jr. brought a lot of mexican fans to the table - and was an easier out than Froch.

Look - I like Ward. He's phenomenally talented. But he is evidently much bigger than Golovkin. Hopefully one day they fight, but at the moment Ward is 2 divisions removed from Golovkin. Unlike Canelo. That was the only point I was trying to make, and the crux of this thread - but people with an obvious bias like yourself will always turn these things into a slanging match.

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

False, when GGG offered that Ward had alreayd been fighting LHW catchweights. GGG said he'd fight ANYONE from 154-168, and ward was willing to go down to 168 to fight GGG. Why does it matter if he's fighting catchweights at LHW now? Also your logic makes absolutely no sense why is it okay for GGG to go to 168 for chavez jr, but Ward has to make a weight he can't make. I thought according to you GGG fans if you fight even 1 pound over a weight limit you're considered to be in the weight class above like Canelo who's apparently a "mw".
Canelo/Cotto did reportedly 900k. Now both of these guys have done 1.5m+ PPVS, what makes you think Chavez Jr and Ward's PPV are going to be that off? Both of these guys would draw 300-500k PPV at most. That's just a COMPLETE cop out, and excuse for GGG.

Roy Jones Jr said it best, people buy PPVs to see COMPETITIVE match ups. GGG fans KNOW Ward isn't an easy, some have convinced themselves GGG canw in. No one would have saw JR/GGG has competitive, especially after losing to Vera in the first fight. The Mexicans would buy this ppv is complete horse ****, there's a reason why Chavez did like 500k after those fights, Chavez and Ward does similar numbers, he gets paid millions for BOTH fights, but the difference is Chavez jr is an extremely easty fight, while Ward would take him to school. Can't blame GGG for wanting that fight.

You basically described every GGG fan in a nutshell. You guys make **** up, make excuses for GGG, I mean it's just hilarious how you guys are okay with the fact that GGG was going to go to 168 after Jr lost to Vera, and won in a rematch, but for Ward he has to go down to a weight he can't make . How blind are you to see that GGG wants nothing to do with Ward.

    168 champ vs 160 champ
Logical to meet in the middle at 164

    160 champ vs 160 champ
    Logical to fight at 160

Golovkin is about 1-2 inches taller than Canelo and might have a slight reach advantage. But Canelo has more body mass than Golovkin has. Canelo is compact but thick. His back and legs are beefy. If he didn't have such stocky big legs I think his footwork would be much better.

Is this what you came up with within hours? F****inG Brain damaged moron. They openly Said The fight can only 164, so what does that mean you dumb f****? Why did they say that? I wonder what you're gonna pull out of your ass this time since that's where your arguments are coming from.

Btw I'm a GGG fan, admitting a fighter's flows doesn't mean being a hater. But that's probably too much for a Brain damaged, simple minded fangirl like you to understand.

    Ok
    Ggg weighs in 160
    And
    Canelo weighs 155
It doesn't matter. It's not a competitive fight.
    Ggg vs Lara
    And
    Canelo vs Lemieux
Are much more competitive fights .
