Joe C too quick moving in and out, getting his shots off. GGG finds his chin a few times and there would be some uneasy moments for Joe. I think he pulls it out in a competitive and entertaining fight though.
Joe may be the perfect fighter to go 12 with GGG. Speed, with a good chin and high work rate, while matching his pressure.
This all comes down to HOW good Calzaghe's chin is. If Golovkin can dent him, then he will break him down like everybody else, because he will not respect Joe's power. If Joe can take Golovkin's shot (and he well might, he had an excellent chin at a higher weight class) then he wins a wide UD. I'm 50-50 on this one. Would be a fascinating match.
Yeah I know that's why I picked him over Golovkin, but guess what Kovalev is a completely different animal than Hopkins, Kessler, Lacy, Jones Jr and Bika.:good And I wouldn't say Calzaghe was better than Hopkins, just different, and ultimately a bad style clash for BHop.
Calzaghe's style is one i can see effectively neutralizing Golovkin's. Fast counter combinations, endless stamina and high pace, iron chin coupled with a slick evasive style, weird unpredictability, good movement. Calzaghe wins this quite comfortably i'd argue
Golovkin would be EASILY the biggest challenge of Slappy Joes career. This is a man who was dropped by ancient Hopkins, ancient shot RJJ, and several nobodies. His chin is a myth. Golovkin by KO, would bet my IRA's.
