    Boxing, as with any sport, has it's peaks and valleys.
    Right now the Middleweight and Super Middleweight divisions are deep in recession, but like the heavyweight division which has been dead for the last 10 years, both MW and SMW will be recharged and become alive again.

    The good news about the SMW is, although the division is less talented than the last crop of SMW fighters, at least the most talented in the division act like fighters and are willing and eager to compete with one another to become the best.
    At least there is an assortment of the division's top fighters who are evenly talented and can provide competitive match-ups and they have promoters who are committed to making the fights happen.
    That got to be a good thing in today's promotion blocked era.

    You really are one extremely mentally ill asian/arab aren't you.............

    Calzaghe was better than Degale in every department.. levels above. Degale struggled with Porky medina a journeyman, shot Bute,Wicieliski, a past his best inactive Dirrell - they could easily have been 4 losses. and lost to a green Groves. Degale never has and never will be in Calzaghes league so its beyond trolling what your doing you anti white, racist ****.

    its out of them 2 I reckon ...them 2 division are the weakest imo.

    Bro.. be truthful it's weak as ****! When you got Badou Jack and James Degale fighting it out to be number 1 you knows its a weak division! At least 140 has Crawford at the top. 168 has no p4p guys..it's the weakest I've ever seen it.. No other division would a shot Bute get so many chances for example.

    Jack, Degale, Groves, F Chudinov - quite good/average/ nothing special
    Sturm, Abraham, Bute - past it
    Zeuge, De Carolis, Anthony Dirrell, Chavez Jr , Medina ,Hart, Bursak, Feigenbutz, Love, Fielding - all poor fighters or straight up BUMS.. hilarious that you even mentioned some of them!

    I dont think the division is as strong as it used to be.
    I didnt think it was as strong when the S6 begun but it was more well known which gathers hype and has people who dont know watching which makes people believe it is tougher.
    Still I think Degale is a good fighter and enjoy watching him. Jack seems solid though I thought Groves edged him

    It's the depth that matters. It's far from a weak division. There's actually weight classes south, way down south that are worst, but you're too caught up in the main stream divisions that you didn't even think of it.
