how long will mundo and zurdo actually stay in this division though i wonder? it'd probably benefit them to do so, but they're both very big for the weight. smith has claimed in the past that he's comfortable at 168 and could even make 160, just not sure i believe him.
smith looks great but wouldnt stand a chance at 175 ramirez doesnt look good at all degale is doing well groves is finished the dirrells are a joke
Aside from power, I think Smith and Ramirez are pretty well matched. Stylistically, I think Smith may well find Ramirez very awkward head to head, as he struggled (maybe that's an exaggeration, but didn't look comfortable let's say) against the only other southpaw he faced, and Ramirez is a particularly awkward southpaw. The pair actually have similar strengths and weaknesses to these eyes even though they aren't stylistically identical or anything. Basically, they both lack elite handspeed, mobility or defense, and they both only seem fully comfortable in the pocket. They both seem like they have the tools to dictate fights from the outside, and they both have good jabs when they get them going, but neither does so consistently, and ring control can be a problem for them. On the flipside, both are very big at the weight, very good technicians with beautiful timing and accuracy, very calm, disciplined, smart in there. I'm not sure either has a really high ceiling, but they seem like the kind of guys who will reach whatever their ceiling is - they both have an aura of dedication and mental fortitude about them. Being a gangly southpaw who throws at a pretty high volume, I think Ramirez finds a lot of weird angles and is just generally gonna be difficult to prepare for or figure out, whereas Smith is more orthodox and predictable (particularly in later rounds, where he has sometimes settled into that Luke Campbell kinda mode of throwing out of the textbook) but has more punishing power it seems, which is a quality that mustn't be underestimated - I suspect Smith does have the greater potential of the pair for this reason. I think these qualities may be enough to take both of them into the 168 top 5 as things stand, perhaps even top 3. 175 is a different kettle of fish entirely though, and they won't be able to rely on their size advantages so much... I can imagine them both looking rather more ordinary at that weight, honestly, but I guess we'll see!
GGG will beat Eubank by tko, though Eubank is hugely under rated and he's far superior to his pops in everything except resume which is all that seems to matter. Not who is the actual superior fighter but who got the quicker chances at paydays. Eubank will hang tough but lose from the 9th to the 11th. Ggg doesn't let fights go to round 12 where one can literally run around the ring and hold just to see the last bell
smith is a lot better than u give him credit for i believe he is already the best SMW on the planet and in the next year he is going to prove it.
