Both have world class chins so I don't see a stoppage on the cards but with Toney's superior skillset he would win a hard fought but clear decision.

 

Toney at his prime would have schooled Froch easily.

 

Toney whilst good is a bit over rated at SM.

it's not like he's matched up against another ATG here...it's Carl Froch. Toney would dominate Froch and I regret choosing by decision instead of by KO in the poll. Most in the classic would go against Toney if he was against an ATG like Walcott, Dick Tiger, Charles etc....

 

You have a right to your opinion but I totally disagree. Go take a look at the Booker fight. I'm positive that's where it began...but that's just me.

Toney would punish Froch in his prime...I like Froch and I believe in him, but I know his limitations. Ward exposed or reaffirmed what people already kind of knew about Carl. He's a tough SOB. Not ultra fast or athletic.....but he's determined...composed and has solid skills. Carl wouldnt hang with Toney in that era... At least not Froch right now in his career. He has some years left and who knows what Carl will accomplish in the future? I still believe War beats Carl 9 out of 10 times.

Toney would not stop Carl, but he would beat him SD. Froch is not getting stopped by anyone, but he would take inside fight beating, Toney had great infighting ability. If anyone is getting stopped its Toney, but unlikely.
