From what I seen, I'd say Kessler would have stopped Dawson in 6-7 rounds. Kessler's power would have been too much for Dawson.
I don't know, there's a solid blueprint for beating Abraham at 168, especially if you've got a nice rangy jab.
True but you need a lot of strength to do it. Abraham usually lands 1 or 2 big bombs as well and against that version of Dawson it would have been lights out
A nice rangy jab don't mean **** if Dawson wasn't using his height and reach to create distance. In Dawson's case he was fighting all ****ed up, he was throwing the jab within Ward's punching range, and you wonder why he was getting hit so much.
Before he moved down, yes. Now I'm not so sure. I think Dawson's got a long road back from that ass whooping even if the weight was a big factor, I'm not sure if he can come back mentally rather than physically. Kessler, Froch and Ward (already has) would have stopped him that night and I have the utmost confidence in that.
don't worry Dawson got Scully in his corner. Well he's been fighting like that since he hired Scully, minus the physical limitations of being weight drained. He isn't using his height and reach to create distance and he's fighting flat-footed which allowed Ward to easily time him. In the Hopkins fight, he was doing a lot of headhunting which is very uncharacteristic of a boxer.
