i was going over the 168lbs division and it's possible match ups and just noticed it is by far the most packed division in boxing and the most exciting with all the possible match ups.

take a look at these names in no (particular order)
    Mikkel Kessler
    Bute
    Froch
    Taylor
    Green
    Inkin
    Andrade
    Bika
    Miranda
    Pascal
    Mundine
    Lacy

then you have up and comers Dirrell,Ward, you have huge puncher Berrio and Zuniga , you could mix and match all day with thes 16 names. not to mention possiblity of Pavlik,AA, Winkey and eve Possibly Paul Williams .

i think this is boxing deepest division and most exciting at the moment

problem with that division is that just about all of them still haven't made a name for themselves. not only that, but a lot are 'fringe players' (some deserving of better) on the world scene because they aren't coming over to fight in the states.

i know it's an old record by now....but only taylor on that list has earned any sort of reputation that is internationally recognised and made him a proven world class fighter.

    That is a nice group.

Here's a round Robin for ya: Miranda, Andrade, and Bika. That **** gives me a headache a lose two of my front teeth just thinkin' about those 3 fightin' each other.

i agree. their is no dominant champion there and too me they all seem like wildcards. i'm still liking 147 and 135 better myself. but 168 does have the potential. Bika-Andrade, Bute-Andrade II, Miranda-Green, Kessler-Taylor would all make great matchups. maybe even Miranda-Froch, Miranda will fight anybody and Froch seems the hungriest of the bunch

Great fights to be made at 168 for sure. Let's just hope they start making some of them happen. There's way too much talent there for any of the top guys to justify fighting nobodies. Just off the top of my head:

    Kessler vs Bute
    Froch vs Taylor
    Andrade vs Bika
    Mundine vs Green
    Miranda vs Pascal

welterweight is by far the #1

    floyd-pwill-marg-cotto-shane
    berto-cintron-clottey-judah-quintana
    collazo

then you got hatton and paqman on technicalities...

Agree, some really nice fights could be made! Mundine is MW now.. but who cares!? its maybe better with out him, holding some strap and only fight aussie cab-drivers!

I agree, this division is a stand-out, and within a couple of years will likely be even better, as Dirrell rises in prominence and Abraham and maybe Pavlik move up.

147 and 168 are the best divisions without question.
