Williams is fighting at 160 to stay busy...He has said numerous times its just to hard to fight at 147 because nobody wants to fight him..HE ALSO SAID THAT IS STILL HIS MAIN DIVISION... WHO ARE HALF THE PEOPLE ON THAT 168LB LIST? GOMEZ IS MORE KNOWN FROM THE CONTENDER THAN MOST OF THE FIGHTERS ON THAT LIST IN THE STATES..LMFAO..UR FAULT
What I want has nothing to do whats going to happen though.... i dont choose the side of the promoters or the side of the fan I just accept things as they are and I acknowledge the fact that i have no control of it..... no amount of hoping and wishing will change the fact that we will never see 168 unite I didnt watch taylor vs lacy.... Roy vs calz & roy vs tito were relevant at the.. we cant help the outcomes of the fight being trash.... nothing is wrong with the state of boxing ... people are just over reacting.. everything has peaks and valley's... about 15 years ago boxing was peaking with tyson and rjj on the come up.... its currently at a valley though... the fact that oscar de la & paqman sold 1.4 or whatever it was should be more than enough evidence that if you put together the proper event people will come out to watch it.... theres not a lot of big fighters in the sport right now alot of fighters are impatient and not willing to grind for their career.. (like margarito did... he took the long way to do it but look at him now.... the shane fight is about to be a great success and so is the next cotto fight... why? because he paid his dues) boxing isnt dying... AT ALL!! when the sports biggest and brighter stars are way past the hill and old (oscar de la hoya) & a defensive genius who isnt the most exciting to watch but always puts on an amazing perormance (floyd) there an issue... when in the past the biggest brightest stars are brawlers... sugar ray & tyson.. but every thing moves in cycles and in time boxing will return to dominance (even thouhg its not that far from it now imo) you basically agreed with me... they didnt have names pavlik did... end of story... why? who's american & who's not I'm also a graduate of business school... sorry if im intelligent enough to notice the different between business and sport.... your obviously not intelligent enough to do so
Just ask ESB they already made a poll and asked who's the best SMW, JT got the most votes. They already asked who would win between JT & Kessler, JT got the most votes.
everyone on this forum are true boxing fans.... you dont just stumble on to a boxing forum by accident.... I just dont care about 168 division because its like a bad action movie... a couple of "ooooo's" and a couple of "aaaahhhhh's" some dramatic explosions (knockout's) but by the time the movie finished nothing has changed... the movie just starts out how it finishes and doesnt accomplish anything.... 168 is just on a ****ing treadmill... it aint going nowhere.. its boring as hell 147 - 130 on the other hand is filled with hero's villians and under dogs... if you look away for too long you might miss something & its filled with surprises (marg vs cotto-campbell vs diaz- floyd vs hatton - paul williams vs marg - paul williams vs quintana - paq vs oscar) its just like a GREAT MOVIE its action packed, an actual pace is set for the film, theres surprises, victories, defeats, surprises, twists turns and the whole nine.... im sure by now you get my point... i love the sport of boxing but when nothing is on the table (pride, money, respect, a chance to fight a bigger opponent, an undefeated record) when someone fights and its just chalked up as another loss... i might as well be watching re-runs of the contendor because at the end of the day nothing matters...
Thats exactly how I feel. 168 is just a bunch of B, C & D level fighters. For example, Kessler just beat Hausler, what the hell is a Haulser? Taylor just beat Lacy, Lacy is only remembered as the guy that got embarrassed by CalZ
