168 LBS most packed and exciting divison

A guy with that much talent like Taylor shouldn't even struggle with a guy like Pavlik, ala Hopkins. But Taylor came up short 2x against Pav because he is LAZY & STUPID. Yes, I thought Taylor was an A level fighter, but after HOW he went about losing to Pav, he proved me that he's only B Level right now. Maybe he can get back to that A Level

 

I can't believe you just made post after post defending how Taylor was a b-level fighter who got gifts against Hopkins and Wright, only to admit that you (at least at one point) believed he was an A level fighter. :huh

I will concede though that at this point in time Taylor is teetering on the edge of A and B, and in his next fight or two needs to re-establish himself as a top fighter. For someone who has the talent of an A, he sometimes shows the flaws of a B, if that makes sense.

 

Finally we agree!!!!!:good Thats exactly how I feel about Taylor. LoL, we argued for like 2 days before we came to an agreement. All jokes aside, you're a cool poster DStew, unlike the other clowns I usually rip, you didnt run away or log off, you kept coming baack & coming back, you're a good poster & definetely got my respect. Anyways, I think Kessler is the best out there at 168, but I also think that Hopkins would beat everyone at SMW at a catch of 170, whats your thoughts?

 

Kessler's the man to beat at 168 until proven otherwise, since he's got the best record at the weight. I'd give him a slight edge over Taylor at this point and would give Taylor a slight edge over Bute and Froch.

I think Hopkins is being a little overrated right now following the beating he put on Pavlik. Yes, he's good, yes, he's still got skills, but styles make fights and he was all wrong for Kelly. I'd pick him over most of the guys in the division obviously but probably not Taylor or Kessler for the simple fact that they are both fast, strong, and athletic - things Hopkins has problems with, especially when they're combined into one fighter.

EDIT: One caveat to Kessler edging Hopkins is Mikkel's determination, something we haven't had to see much of from him outside his Calzaghe fight. He will have to be tough and take risks in order to win, something that I think he is capable of physically but I reserve judgement on his heart.

 

Its all about popularity & officially making a name in the US. But honestly, fighters do come to the states and get robbed

 

Fighters can get robbed anywhere and it's sad as it stops alot of the best from traveling.

True true. Even though it shouldnt be this way, I feel the fighter traveling has to convincingly when the fight. He needs to win 8-4 or by KO or UD. Anything else and yore asking for a robbery

 

Any fighter that has a guy like Eman Steward as their corner & wont listen to him, you deserved to be KO'D!
