Right now Kessler is still considered the top Dog . However it seems like every one else is fighting each other and he is being left out due to Promotional issues.

right now this is IMO the Hottest divison. and now that Dawson is thinking of dropping down in weight, we got the possibilty of AA , KP coming up. Not to mention Miranda will always be relevent due to his Power,We got bika ,Green,Andrade,Balsay, Inkin (only has one loss) Taylor gave a good account of himself so he's still relevent,Ward and Dirrell.

Of and lets not forget Froch and Bute. .thats just to name a few.

so who do you see taking the top spot or due you see a constant exchange of the crown due to the deepness of the division?

Now i picked kessler but things are getting close due to these other fighters fighting each other so he needs to jump on the ball and get these promotional isssues fixed but and although he seems the best at the moment past acolades can only take you so far .

Dawson ,bute are there to take it and if indeed Dawson does move down this will only add to the deepness .

Bute if he gets Kessler along with victories this year over Green and Andrade.

I just can't see Kessler losing to any of the other belt holders right now.

Bute IMO has the biggest chance, though.

But yeah, 168 is becoming the best division in boxing.

man this division is going to be the ****.

Showtime has been on the division for uears , HBo barley started to notice it afte Calzaghe beat Lacy. then when he retired it seems like they forgot about it . after the froch win they'll jump on it again

kessler hands down.... hopefully he will leave palle after his mandatory this summer.... but nevertheless.... kessler will defeat the others titleholders... i give bute the biggest chance, but i really dont think he can stand there for 12 rounds... Froch has a great heart and last night was a spectacular win.... but to be realistic he could never go 12 rounds with kessler... kessler's pinpoint accuracy and his stamina(the only reason JT lost last night) would beat froch down. the last guy in Karoly B i dont know much about..... but indeed it will be one of the divisions to follow

I voted for Kessler, but it would not surprise me to see Bute as #1 this time next year.

I Voted for kessler as well but to be honest i can see the crown changing hands to to all the talent. although Kessler is the best overall pick he could lose to any of the top guy given the right circumstance especially since this division is so deep and everyone seems to have good if not great punching power. harly a feather fisted fighter in the top 15

Kessler's being held back by promotional issues, and while that's happening, the 2 other well-known beltholders are on the verge of fighting each other. Whoever wins Froch-Bute (I'm leaning towards Bute, but can't count out Froch) will have a good claim to the top spot and more visibility since they've been more active than Kessler.

What does help Kessler's cause, though, is that either Froch or Bute would fight him so long as he gets the go-ahead from Palle or succeeds in splitting from him (I can't say I like his odds on the latter). I still think he'll get at least one more chance at unification before it's said and done.

Andre Ward gets a belt for sure in early 2010 and then by the end of the year has 2 belts..why didnt you include him?

Because this is an old thread, before Ward beat Miranda.
