it is kind of weird that you have green up there but not miranda, considering the fact miranda BEAT green. i think its because you dont like him

I think the two contenders are Bute and Ward. In my opinion, Bute would beat any fighter in the super six. The only ones who would give him troubles are Ward and Dirrell. They're both fast and slick and I haven't seen Bute fight this kind of opposition yet. From what I've seen so far, Bute would still beat both of them, but it won't be easy fights that's for sure.

I hope we see Abraham/Ward in the semi finals. I don't like either fighter, but I would love to see Arthur's repsonse when Ward starts fouling his ass off. Abraham will not hesitate to plant a knee in Ward's nuts and an elbow in his face. In my opinion AA would maul Ward in one of the worst foul fests we've seen in years.

Stylistically Bute is a freaking nightmare for Abraham. Arthur has serious and well documented problems with fast/slick fighters. Even the lightly regarded Elvin Ayala made AA look like ****. Bute wins a wide UD, or possibly even stops AA after round 10.

Given that Tays' time frame for the poll is one year I do not think Pavlik should be in the poll. I'll avoid long winded explainations, but I think KP will be looking for Williams and Sturm next year, and one of the orgs will probably throw a mandatory in the mix, so 2010 is probably all booked up, and a Pavlik/Bute fight isn't really important until right before the tourney ends.

Also, the end of the tourney is more than a year away, so it's probably closer to two years before we can hope to see the torney winner face the Pavlik/Bute winner.

I voted for Bute based on the fact that head to head he is the clear number one at present.

I thought Kessler would beat Ward but also thought Ward was the second best one, so I'm half laughable. ;)

There won't be a king next year but who will be number 1?
Well, I think it's gonna be Bute. I see more surprises coming in the tournament. Can Dirrell beat Abraham? Maybe. Can he beat Ward? Will Froch lose to Kessler? Every super six fighter could lose at least once. If Bute makes a couple of defences and fights Pavlik and wins, his record may be better than Ward and Abraham, if both lose a fight. If both win their 2 fights, I will put them #1 and #2. Ward #1 because his opposition in the tournament is stronger than Abraham's.

I would say you're a Kessler hater more than anything, I don't get that really it seems more like you don't have any favourite fighter aslong as Kessler loses you'll be happy, that's just moronic to me.

As for the poll I just can't say, I haven't a clue honestly, Abraham, Ward and Bute all look the be good guesses right now but that could change in a heartbeat atleast for the first two who are sure to have some tough competition ahead of them who Bute goes up against we'll see but he's got the biggest chance of staying undefeted by the end of next year, not saying he's better than Ward or Abraham because of it though...

I can see Bute doing it. The winner of the tournament cuts the fat of the division. Bute will flourish without a real threat. Hope he fights the Miranda Stieglitz winner. Then fights the Super 6 winner to unify all 4 belts. I think Bute will do it because whoever wins the 6 will probably be banged up or worn from fighting so many tough fights in a row.

I hope Miranda Win it because Stieglitz will never want to unify!

Anyway both of them are not a big threat to Bute! Miranda has a hell of a punch but Bute already have beat that kind of boxer!

NAh Stieglitz is a warrior he'll try to unify.

I think all boxers are warriors. Stieglitz is one for sure. He was behind on the cards against Balsay and fought hard until he won. I'm a little bit worried about his promoter though. Just a little bit because if HBO wants a Bute-Stieglitz fight, the cash could be sufficient to convince him.

yeah i feel you about his promoter. but i don't think HBO will do a unification between him and Bute. if he pulls through the Miranda fight he'll be set up with KP HBO would be trying to hand KP that title. in hope of a MEga Show down and Unification fight between KP and Bute
