Just recieved the 16oz mk II ultimate sparring gloves.

First impressions - The gloves are pretty compact and appear smaller than most 16oz sparring gloves. From first glance it is obvious that they are very well made. Stitched nicely and feel well balanced. The leather feels really soft so you shouldn't upset your sparring partner too much with these.

After trying the gloves out on the heavy bag I can say that I am very impressed. I have been training about 7 years now and can say that these are some of the nicest gloves that I have owned. They offer great support around the wrist and knuckle area. kinda feel similar to other mexican style gloves, like Reyes. However, they are smaller in size and they offer more padding around the knuckles. Before this I have been wearing mainly thai brands, like twins and windy. I would say lemarr gloves offer more protection around the wirst, they are more of a snug fit inside and lastly, they feel somewhat lighter than their actual size.

My criticism is that they feel too snug for my hands, even a little tight. I expect that once they have worn in they will free up a bit more space.

I picked these up for 70 quid on lemarr's ebay page. A little more than i have paid in the past but the quality seems comparative to any major brand like everlast and reyes so bearing that in mind the cost is okay.

I'll post some pics when I get a moment.
