17 years ago today, Bernard Hopkins had his best performance

Hopkins - tito was a masterclass

 

No doubt it's a great performance and saw the emergence and recognition of Hopkins as a elite boxer and not just the physical seek and destroy fighter we saw during his physical prime.

And while I agree Tito was a better fighter and the Tito win is a better victory in terms of legacy the performance Hopkins gave against Johnson was better. That Hopkins would have taken out Tito inside 6 rounds.

 

Who did a younger Calzaghe actually stop that was half decent? let alone anywhere near the class of Hopkins? (wasnt Calzaghe younger than Hopkins when they fought?)

A younger Calzaghe, would do what he did in real life and that is hide in Wales

 

a younger Calzaghe would be unknown outside Newbridge, so how in hell does he even register to get on the UNDERCARD of world class Hopkins?

Calzaghe stops nobody except weaklings who wanted to get out of the ring.

that pudwill fight was atrocious, pudwill just wanted to go home, and joe cal was booed from the ring for fighting someone so ****.


Joe Cal did three things when younger -

1. fight lots of weaklings
2. keep away from anyone good
3. fight for an unwanted title and shirk the three major titles

-if anyone else did this they would be seen as a nobody,... but when its joe calzaghe doing it, his fanboys think hes the next coming of Christ.
