Even though he competed as a flyweight, Pac was actually climbing the ring weighing just 96 pounds. Malnutrition from poverty really shows on his body.

Pac was an untrained, crude, malnourished boy. Pretty boy Floyd and Tyson were men at 18, Pac was not a fully developed man until his mid to late 20s. No one has improved like him.

He still showed flashes of power and occasional speed but he had not perfected his craft. I have seen most of his fights that had video and he is someone who became a complete world class fighter years and years after he won a title on just raw attributes. Always had a pretty decent left hand though!

    Great chin even then.

Commentary is great. "He's getting a baaaaaad beating."

If thats not evidence of A-side meth use, I don't know what is.

    -*****s

  11. Same big head.

Same basic fighting style and body movement.

    Same powerful left hand.

    Same thick ass calves.

Pac obviously was juicing back then, too. In fact, I believe Alex Ariza traveled back in time from the future to give young Pacquiao some of his famous PED shakes.

Just reminds you of what a heart and sheer determination can get you regardless of not having a pot to **** in at the start.

You have to admire this guy.

  13. Pacquiao was born to fight. His skills are actually "god-gifted" rather than Floyd Jr. who was born into a boxing dynasty.

No wonder Floyd is a ***** and scared to fight Pacquiao.

It's great you can really see those trademark movements even then. Dipping inward while stepping back, flicking the right jab harmlessly from time to time to measure, landing well timed rights (obviously undeveloped at this point), got a few body shots in there when the guy was hurt, and a great surprise left hitting his opponent coming forward.

How tall was Pacquiao back then? Damn, the man looks less than 5 ft.
