Lopez by a 9th round ko. Too much power, guts and sheer will power on display from Lopez, who refuses to be an "also-ran" in this fight.

 

Lopez handles Donnie's right hand and opens him up like a can of tuna with his dynamite left jab. Yaqui in 6 rounds.

No offense to LaLonde, who was a good fighter, but Lopez would have handed hbim his ass..like he did Mike Rossman, but LaLonde wouldn't have been able to avoid the canvas.

 

Yaqui was a damn good fighter and quite underrated imo, this is a guy who gave two tough and competitive fights to Galindez and Saad and who arguably beat Victor in one of their bouts, I forget which one now, and he also gave M.Spinks a real tussle before getting stopped and his resume is full of other tough contenders and journeyman who he held his own with. He could box well and counterpunch effectively and showed use of a solid and accurate jab, combined with his toughness and stamina he was a very good, all-round fighter, much better than Donnie in any case. LaLonde is way out of his depth in this one and it would apparent early on, Yaqui batters his man into submission within 8 rounds and likely drops him a few times along the way.

 

Looks like i'll take Lopez to win in a fight then. He takes some powershots and roughs his man up for the decision.

 

This would be an exciting fight but yaqui had way betterskills although lalonde could punch harder but id go with yaqui by 10th round stoppage

 

Not to demean Donnie, but Lopez's qualities as a fighter went much deeper than Lalonde's. Fairly easy win for Lopez.

 

Lopez wins this fight by a wide margin. The only question is how good of a fight LaLonde offers, and if it goes the distance.

Lopez would take LaLonde's best & come back with a vengence. Respect for Donnie's reputed power will allow this one to go seven or eight. Then Yaqui will pour it on and stop it in about the ninth. Lopez TKO 9.
