Intriguing one this, even moreso due to the 12-round limit in which the fight takes place. No reason no vote :good

I like Charles in a close UD....Billy was a good mover and had good pop but Ezz did it all a bit better...a tactical fight that Ezzard controls...Billy competive in spurts but Ezzard content to methodically out manuver Conn keep billy on his toes for the most part of this chess match

i have to agree with bummy and i was really dreading this match up, ESPECIALLY in the first round as I feel conn is one of the greatest 175 pounders ever and could really take out or be competitive with the majority of this field. but not charles

ezzard did everything at 175 well. he was a brilliant boxer, terrific mover and had serious power. conn would move well and do well in spurts as bummy said but he lacks the pop to keep charles off him and would be overwhelmed in the exchanges. a relatively lopsided of 9-3 for charles.

Conn starts well, punches in bunches, even staying close and outlanding Charles, moving as well. Charles after a few rounds would start to throw caution to the wind and pound his man, juming in with speed and committing to flurries that do the scoring, he'd be content to fire out jabs and keep it slick to seal the decision.

    Charles.

I agree with the consensus here. Charles UD. Conn does well early but Charles comes on later with his excellent combo of speed and power to win a wide UD.

Charles is the no1 light heavy of alltime for a reason.

Proved himself against a much better crops of light heavies then Billy did...I see him possibly getting a late stoppage here but it probably goes the rounds.

Charles outsmarts Conn over the course of the fight, scoring with hard shots. Billy offers a hard effort throughout, scoring with occasional combinations, but losing a decision by a large margin where the rounds are close but clear for Charles.

I think Charles was a bit better all-around and had a bit more firepower, plus he was the naturally bigger man (Conn was a natural supermiddle, whereas Charles was a full fledged LHW at his peak).

    I like Charles by decision.

Billy boxes beautifully but Charles matches him, this is one for the connossieur. Ezzard just that bit better in all departments and Billy doesn't have the power to cause him any problems.
    Charles 8-4

Well **** you all, I pick Conn. Guy has one loss at LHW and it was avenged. I think Conn's superior footwork - yeah - and iron chin neutralize Ezzard's superior power and his flashing attack and superb judge of range cracks up Ezzard's rythym. Conn by SD.

This would be a good fight. I'll go with Charles on points. Int he end, Chalres would land the more impressive blows.

Conn could not fight Charles the way he fought Louis. Chalres was quick handed, and a good in-fighter.
