I actually robbed it form a picture thread on another forum many moons ago - I think. So it's origins are unknown...

That avatar is badass as ****:good

Ummm......going against the grain as you sometimes do, but a fair post by all means. Conn was proven against big hitters (good certainly hang with them) but I feel Charles can mix it up a bit too much in all areas strategically.

Just a superior fighter IMO, Charles via decision.

I'm picking Conn against one of my very favorite fighters in Ezzard Charles, because of the standard set by Billy in his fight with Joe Louis, ironically enough...my reasoning is that based on the form Conn showed against Louis, he would have therefore been able to beat ANY lightheavy in that division's history..I've thought so ever since I first saw Louis-Conn I, Conn had a lethal, and fight-winning combination of balls and ability...he was, in a sense a "perfect storm of a fighter", the only shortcoming he had was the lack of a big punch. The thing that was Billy's ultimate saving grace was his fearlessness, which though it proved fatal vs Louis, i.e. flying too close to the sun melted his wings, this would not happen with him vs any lightheavy, who would not be able to match Louis' power. Conn also knew to fight with prudence as well, and if he had returned to the lightheavy division, I'd like to believe that the lesson learned against Louis the confidence he would have acquired would have made him into one super great lightheavyweight champion. Conn W12 Charles.

Id interested to hear from people who have seen Conn at 175...Ive only seen a highlights package of one of his fights there..Cant remember against who though, think it was a lefty.

I dont have a problem saying Ezzard Charles at 175 is a better fighter then Joe Louis at heavyweight.

Id even say Ezzard beat better guys then Conn at 175.

This fight is down to speed and these guys would look like a blur at times. Great, great fight. Charles over 12, with Conn slowing down in the latter rounds with facial damage.

Monzon did a couple of spaghetti westerns in retirement. I believe it could have been from one of those. It's funny, but the chick looks a bit like Catherine Deneuve. But i don't think she would have shown skin.

He looks like Mick Jagger there, and oh, by the way, Bennie Briscoe and DMC must be long lost brothers, spit of each other.

Fleaman, if you look closely that's not all his wrist mate, his bicep is behind his wrist.
