15 rounds, no reason, no vote:good

Note to forum members; the other four matchups need more votes! If you have a favourite make sure he has a chance by stating your claim for him to be victor (in particular, Galindez vs Loughran, a very interesting matchup which has about three votes thus far )

    :good

Carpentier is underated imo,but Johnson was a bit special , he handles the Frenchman's power and jabs his way to a dec.

I think Johnson could outmanouever Carpentier throughout the fifteen. Carpentier could very well hurt him at stages but Johnsons movement, jab and combinations would see him win on points. Carpentier would always be in it due to the chance he scores a stoppage, but Johnson is not the smaller man here. Carpentiers strength will not be as apparent and I don't put him on the same pedestal as say, Archie Moore at Light-Heavy.

    Johnson 11-4 type decision.

Carpentier would await for the opportunity to land a big right hand that would never come. Harold outpoints him to win a decision but Carpentier would always remain dangerous.

Carpientiers classy moves and big hits just cant handle Johnsons pure boxing and countering for a Johnson UD15 with both guys oozing class

Johnson too sharp and had too much boxing savvy for the Frenchman...Johnson wins a decision.

Johnson too good all-around for Carpentier, just as Gibbons and Tunney were.

    Johnson by clear decision.

Carpentier is so overrated today its ridiculous. He wouldnt even be competetive with Johnson.

I think this starts out as a chess match - dull for about 5 rounds before Carpentier starts opening up and Johnson methodically counters and jabs to the end. Johnson on a very comfortable 15 round decision.

I reckon Johnson would be able to land hard shots as his man advances, ramming home straights with either hand. Carpentier would have a couple of big rounds as he'd know he is behind but i see Johnson outboxing him in a bit of an exciting one.

i think Johnson wins this one quite easily to tell you the truth...Just to good in every facet of this match and a more developed skillset.

    Plus he probably took roids.
