15 rounds, no reason, no vote:good

Note to forum members; the other four matchups need more votes! If you have a favourite make sure he has a chance by stating your claim for him to be victor (in particular, Galindez vs Loughran, a very interesting matchup which has about three votes thus far )

    :good

Tunney seems to have a favourable draw thus far; I think he stands a very good chance at winning this tourney:think

    Sorry, I will participate.
Tunney, too fast and mobile for the clever pragmatist Maxim a boxing clinic with the Marine's speed being the difference.

Mcvey, I would have to agree. Quietly competitive in a fight that doesn't set the World alight and Tunney wins by clear decision by outboing and occasionally outfighting Maxim is a mid-paced affair. Fairly easy pick IMO, as I say I think Tunney has had a good draw thus far. Still think Spinks would edge him though :good

Spinks is a sleeper who could upset any lightheavyweight on a given night

I don't really see it as an upset though. In terms of dangermen, Spinks is behind Foster only at 175. So awkward and unpredictable, two-fisted power, big..........Spinks is one of the Boogeymen of the divison IMO.

Difference is in speed...Tunney wins a decision with superior weaponry...no knockdowns, or anyone hurt.

Agreed with the consensus. Tunney wins this with his better all-around speed and sharper, harder hitting. Plus in general he was at least a notch above Maxim in terms of quality.

Tunney Wins a Close UD....Maxim in the fight...Tunney moves and a little speedier...Joey makes a solid effort ....Gene landed a few solid rights but Joey never hurt

Tunney has every weapon better than Maxim. I see him totally outboxing Maxim over a fast-paced 15 rounds with Maxim's world class jaw keeping him in the mix until the final bell. Tunney UD 15 over Maxim.

Tunney for me, he'd be able to outspeed and outland his man in my opinion. When it's a chess match, Maxim wouldn't do badly, he had a decent defence and jab, but Tunney would be able to land them one two's i reckon on course to a decision win. I do just think he's effectively better in honesty.

Maxim is durable with a strong chin, but is outclassed here Tunney by a UD. too good of Boxing skills for Gene. Applying steady pressure & piling up points for the decision win.
