I'll take Qawi, brawl for the ages, i reckon he has the better chance of imposing himself down the stretch, what a war.

after 7 rounds its pretty even as the fight continues in the phone booth you could fight this one in qawi slowly starts pulling ahead on the scorecards to win a clear ud or even a very late stoppage 14th or 15th round but probably as i said a ud

This is a seriously good fight. Sitting down to re-watch Galindez vs Lopez (and then gonna watch Galindez vs Mustafa Muhammad) and will make my pick later (recently watched a few Qawi fights and I'm quite well versed in him anyway)

Gonna' be a great one to analyse, both tough as nails, can both punch, it will probably be in a phone booth but I see Qawi's Frazier-esque bobbing and overhand right and uppercuts sealing a points win.

That's not my prediction. But it might very well be.

Lopez does not go quietly into the night...but he does lose eventually. Qawi grinds him down and stops him.

I do think Lopez would have success with his jab, which he sometimes quadrupled. Qawi could bob+weave but Lopez would score points. I think Qawi's decent movement and getting in close would negate Lopez's heavy right hand, but Lopez could also throw short hooks to good effect.

I say Qawi lands the cleaner blows towards the end and has Lopez hanging on in the end.

    Qawi 10-5 Decision

Qawi's superior infighting technique makes the difference. Qawi by decision, or perhaps late stoppage.

Sounds about right to me, will only add as Whatarock said that Yaqui wouldn`t go quietly and he would have definately given Dwight a tough nights work, but ultimately Dwight would have prevailed as he was the superior fighter in most respects. On a seperate note I would have loved to see Yaqui take on either Marvin Johnson and Jerry Martin, those would have been some great action fights to say the least and could have been made but for some reason their paths never crossed.

    Qawi of course. :deal
    idiotic question.
He should have got it by walkover.
Lopez stopped by spinks and deleon , qawi wasn't.
Lopez stopped twice by saad muhamad.
    qawi stopped saad muhamad twice.
    no qustion at all.
but in this forum , tarver lost to Carpentier , so who knows ..

People have covered it above. I'm not sure that Qawi stops Lopez though.

I don't think Lopez would make it to thei final bell with the pressure Dwight would put on him. Also, Qawi could take anything Lopez dished at him, and he was also an underrated denfensive fighter who didn't get hit flush to much in fights. Qawi would wear Yaqui down and stop him late.
