I notice most people didnt score the fight, but decided Dirrel won because of the last 3 rounds.... well the 10th round, it was 9-9, and before that, for much t of the fight, Froch shaded each round bar 1, if peopel legitimately scored the fight, Froch won by some distance. You don't wins rounds for showing examples of text book defence and no offence. Dirrel won 3-4 rounds of the fight, and 2 of those were the last 2 rounds.
Sorry I see no video or Gif... I just see anti Froch people talking nonsense. Froch was not hurt, if Froch was hurt, then in the 8th Dirrel was KO'ed.
I'm just pointing out you seem to be the only one who didn't see him wobble.. Froch barely landed all night.. He spent it chasing, punching the air and getting landed on every now and then.. Thats not a winning performance in my eyes..
Do you win rds by plodding and missing ? Because thats what Froch did !! Its not like he was out landing Dirrell ..I had it 115 -113 in favor of Dirrell ,,Froch wasn't busy enough or landed effective enough to deserve that decision ..In the later rds Andre was tagging him at will ..A true sign of ring generalship ..What Froch's bad footwork and come forward style was more effective ??
I agree entirely. Totally wrong game plan. If he'd fought like he did in the last 2-3 rounds throughout the whole fight he most probably would've walked it.
Again, why was Dirrel the one with the marked face and blood if he was the only one that was landing? Yes Dirrel won teh final 2 rounds, would have been 3, but the point deduction, try scoring the fight before round 11. Froch was not hurt at all, his legs didn't stiffen, he walked calmly back, when a fighter gets hurt, they have indecision, they don't reat fast enough and get tagged again, this didn't happenatsch Eating jabs, jabbing on teh gloves of Froch, getting chased around, sliding, hugging, bowing and crying isn't winning in my book. As I said, don't score the fight from rounds 11 and 12.
If he fought like that in rounds 11 and 12.. he'd have gassed out, or been tagged earlier by Froch, saying something like that is dumb, because there are so many factors that change the fight, Froch would have warmed up to those tactics too, he always takes a while to get going as he works people out.
Maybe because Barrera might have learned it from classless Hamed as mr.overrated was known to do it,too.
If anybody thinks that Dirrell did anything other than fight an intelligent, controlled, skilled night then they shouldn't be watching boxing. What you saw wasn't "negativity": it was Dirrell giving a defensive masterclass and constantly beating Froch to the punch on the outside. He landed the cleaner, harder shots all the way. This, gentlemen, was a robbery.
