Surely in a year and a half he will of got a title shot? I think he's padded his record enough. Its now time to fight a top contender or two after novembers match and then get that shot at a title. What do you think?

I believe he has to beat Rhodes and Martinez t oget the title.

    Doubt it but not impossible.

Too many titles nowadays, sure he become a "world champion".
It's up to the promoter to keep putting him against beatable opponents.

No it isn't. Martinez, Dzin, Santos, Angulo, Williams? Those are wide open? lol. Chavez will lose to any of those fighters badly.

As soon as he fights a top 20 guy he will be knocked into journeyman class where he belongs.

I wouldn't even favour him against British champion Anthony Small, never mind Ryan Rhodes or Jamie Moore.

I believe Rhodes would be quite an easy fight for Chavez jr. However, Martinez would be a different story. Regarding other champs in the division, i dont see him going for anything but WBC. I also dont see Paul Williams being around for a fight with Chavez, i see him being right up there in the top p4p fights

What do you mean by wide open? You saying it's a weak division? Who you think Chavez jr can beat? Santos? Dzin? Martinez? Angulo? Williams?

But against who? There's no way Chavez will fight Angulo for a vacant title.

Plenty of belts to go around... + read the thread title.

That said, Why not Jr. could prob beat some of those guys mentioned.
(Some of them getting up there in age including both Santos & Martinez)

chavez jr career has been a joke. he's always on ppv fighting a no name. makes no sense. I dont know where he'll be in 18 months because unfortunatly i never even seen him fight. Refuse to pay for it.

    :patsch

Ryan wouldn't be taken the distance once, never mind twice, with Matt Vanda

Nor would I expect Chavez to be able to toy with Vincent Vuma.... or be able to take Jamie Moore's best shots and fire back with interest en-route to a stoppage win.
