Hey Addie guess what? I was at this fight!! I think ive told you before how i used to be a regular at the Monday night fights that they use to have twice a month at the forum. I remember Barrera was already a hyped up prospect at the time but i had never seen him fight until this one. Bollilo Gonzalez fought on the Main event after this Barrera became a regular at the Forum. I always thought he could have won a JB title if given a shot. Those were great days at the forum, they no longer have fights there lots of great future champs were fighting there around this time I remember seeing Mark Johnson,Juan M Marquez on a regular basis when they were unheard of at the time. I had also forgot that the announcers at the time were Ruben Castillo and Chick Hearn who you may not know is a legendary Announcer in Los Angeles mostly known for being the NBA LA Lakers broadcaster. RIP Chicke baby:good

Barreras real rival as a teenager was future Champ Enrique Sanchez(another regular at the forum) who many of you know was A Barrera victim as a pro. They fought like 5 times in the amatuers pretty much splitting someone got the edge 3-2 but i forgot. Anyways that was his Morales back then ,they were the 2 best amatuers from Mexico at the time.

 I envy you so much. I claim to be a big Marco fan, but I can only boast about having these fights on DVD. You were actually there. What other fights have you seen of Marco...live?

Been to alot of his fights at the Ingelwood Forum and the Pond in Anaheim,as well as the Classic with Morales I in Vegas, also the great fight with Mckinney which was the first HBO afterdark that was at the Forum. Also his fights with Ramirez,Daniel jiminez,Dominguez,Espinoza and Jesse Magana. Caught at least 1/2 of his fights at the forum and Pond in the 90s. Didnt catch any of his fights towards the end the last one being the Morales I.

Use to attend a lot of fights in the late 80s,90s and a few this decade but not as much as i use too. Boxing has slowed down a little bit in the Southern California area even though they still have them from time to time the Forum dont have any more fights, neither does the Olympic Auditorium,or the Pond. Havent been to Vegas in a while not big in the pockets like I used to Be LOL! Last fight i been to was the Delahoya and Forbes fight. Almost went to the Arreola Klitchkko fight but had a family engagement i had to go too.
