Other than both punching hard and having white skin and black hair, in what manner is Huck anything like Dempsey?
He isn't that comment was beyond laughable. Something I often ponder is if we were to take a Dempsey or Marciano and give them the current/modern nutrition, training routines, PED's, etc. of today how big would they be? I could see Dempsey on PED's being a ripped 205-215 pounds retaining his speed and savage power. It would be scary......
Wow, so you're saying despite the fact that Huck has never been tested positive that he's using? Maybe Dempsey was on roids? Did they even test back then? That's an ignorant and laughable statement you just made. Old man
The big difference for me is that Huck is like a counter-pressure fighter who likes to rush space as part of a well-paced strategy, Dempsey is a rushing swarmer, a pure heatseaker. But even if he was "facing a bigger version of himself", the key ingredients then become speed and power and chin, 2/3 of which clearly belong to Jack. Seriously - I respect and admire Huck, he's always in fun fights, I think he would beat Hernandez (which i believe puts me in a minority?) and he has heart, I think he might be an awkward customer for almost anyone else at the weight, but Dempsey? It's a disaster. And that's coming from perhaps the second harshest Dempsey critic in this forum's history post 07. Step forward PowerPuncher if you're interested in who is #1.
I said nothing about Huck. Not one word about Huck being on PED's. There are many current fighters that are and I wondered aloud what some of the old timers would be like in our modern Boxing age.
You implied it, because we're talking about a mythical Huck/Dempsey fight and you said thst if Dempsey could be roided up then he'd be more aligned with today's fighters, including Huck. It's called reading between the lines. Poor attempt to throw me off, so you should stick to making your weak chin threads because your lack of boxing intellect clearly shows.
not going to debate your awful reading comprehension with you anymore I implied NOTHING about Huck. And talking about lack of Boxing intellect there are few certain things in this World but one thing I am certain of is Jack Dempsey would obliterate Huck in a fight.
Dempsey was able to hurt and almost beat Gene Tunney, one of the most highly skilled heavyweights of all time. Tunney was saved by a long count. Huck would be outclassed it would look like Maidana vs Broner, perhaps even a worst drubbing.
