That Tyson could make any Lewis fight plan disappear in about 30 seconds. Every boxer back then had a plan, until Mike touched them

Quick Tillis fought well against Tyson, Lewis would of handled him.

his lack of head movement would see him get hit. he doesn't have the jaw to withstand Tyson's shots

tillis looked great. to see him in there against mike would make one think he coulda done much more w/ his career. as i understand it, he was on kind of a bad streak prior to tyson and his trainer told him if he didnt show him something against tyson he should retire.

I'm surprised everytime early Tyson footage is posted here. Not with Tyson but the sheer amount of people who never seen it:?

There is probably more footage of Mike than any other fighter in history.

Tillis was an early learning fight for tyson and he improved from the experience of fighting him as he was the first quick skilled fighter who fought behind the jab and tried to keep on the move.

He also wasn't really that close stylistically to lewis, more a wannabe ali. Not to say that lewis in his prime couldn't take tyson, he might. Your analogy though is flawed

Lewis couldn't handle a young Tyson. Even an old, shot Tyson took Lewis' bombs for a considerable amount of time before he went down. A young Tyson slips about 90% of those shots and he eventually gets to Lewis' chin a few times, and that would be that, because Lennox couldn't take Mike's shots.

As for Holyfield, he would just get beat up by a younger, faster, more agile and more motivated Iron Mike. He was having plenty of trouble with the old, non-training Tyson before he started trying to headbutt his face off.

As for the Tillis fight, it really doesn't matter how good you are, a talented, quick professional fighter whose only goal is to survive is very, very tough to take out. A pro boxer's defense is awesome if he doesn't open up and give you opportunities to land clean shots.

  11. Wow... that neckroll exercise is ****ing insane. Gave me goosebumps. I'd be afraid of snapping my neck.

I doubt that, The Tyson that fought Holyfield was never mentally the same before he went to prison and he never regained his skill level after getting out. The Tyson that fought Lennox was not even 1/3 close to the fighter he was when he fought Holyfield in the first fight.
