Holyfield's superior technical ability and combinations see him outbox Marciano to a widish decision or even a stoppage. Holyfield was a sharp shooter at 190lbs and he constantly threw with an immense workrate while being technically excellent.

 

Marciano hit harder weighhing 187lbs than Holy did at cruiser and he knocked out bigger men than Holy did weighing under 190, Marciano would have over-powered Holy.

 

Marciano by KO. Holyfield had a hard time figuring out Qawi. They are rather similar in style only Marciano is much stronger, hit harder with each fist, and had better stamina. Would be fight of the decade for sure

 

Marciano wins in a tough fight.

 

The first fight was Holyfield's 12th pro fight and he won but a more experienced Holyfield destroyed Qawi in the rematch

 

Only a heavyweight Holyfield can stand up to Marciano's superior punch power and freakish physical strength

 

Marciano destroys his skinny ribs. Evander did not have the experience enough or the added musculature and weight that he would need to handle marciano who was natutally a much stronger man. Holyfield at 210 pounds beats marciano but not at 189

 

I’d say an old Qawi who did everything he could the first fight didn’t have it in him for the second. Holyfield wasn’t some novice. Olympic medalist and a strong amateur career. But that is impressive to be facing Qawi in his 12 fight.

In fairness, Qawi was drunk and quickly declining. That fight was eerily similar to their first fight, but then Holyfield found home with a beautiful punch that a less conditioned Qawi couldn't take like he could in the first. Clear, dominant win, but I wouldn't say he destroyed him.

 

It doesn't matter so long as you'd maxed out your frame, Holyfield was cutting down at 190, didn't have his full physique's strength.

 

Holyfield's chin will always be good enough to stand up to Marciano. Weighing 190 or not.

 

But his physical strength will not be, and he will be handled and battered

 

Not his ribs without mass and his skinny neck
