Based on what? Holyfield was never handled at 190, and actually did that to everyone he fought there. He was also much better (at this weight) than anyone Marciano fought. Holyfield would be the first opponent which has everything needed to trade with Marciano. He has the power, chin, conditioning and accuracy to make this insanely competitive. Your own words are "in a brawl, you pick the fighter with the better chin". That's Holyfield...

I pick Marciano, he'd out-work Holyfield down the stretch after being hit cleanly early on, but no-one "batters" Holyfield. Ever. Let alone at 190.

What? Holyfield was a natural cruiser in his prime. He needed to use roids and trained like a gym rat to make barely 210 pounds

An up and coming ATG Vander, the greatest cruiser of all time, is only analogous to a shot-to-sh*t Charles who would go .500 over the rest of his career? That's pretty harsh.

    Vander KO4.

Almost any version of Holyfield is better than Marciano and wins this as long as he can avoid getting involved in a tear up...

Holyfield was 6'2 and weighed in at 200 for his very first heavyweight fight, there is no way he was a natural cruiser, even if 210 was the help of some strong supplements

You're talking like Marciano fought a fighter that weight who was as good or strong as Holyfield...

Holyfield bulled around everyone too. Even if Marciano is stronger, and he probably is but he's not stronger than HW Holyfield, why does that really matter? Holyfield was better at counter punching than anything else. Meaning he's fine fighting off the back foot, you overrate how important strength is.

Holyfield at cruiserweight was no smaller or less physically capable than many of the BEST men Marciano defeated with the main difference being that he was far younger, better conditioned, had Olympic pedigree and both Lou Duva and George Benton in his corner....

    Holyfield by decision

Charles was still great contender before Rocky fight. This long battle definitely took away a lot from him, so I wouldn't judge Charles from first Rocky fight with fights after this one.

Charles was past his prime, but he was still beating the best fighters in the world. He had much more experience than CW Evander. He fought bigger men and better competition across their careers.

Still, close and hard fight across 15 rounds is not an insult for Evander. I'd probably pick his HW version over Rocky, but here I see similar fight to first Charles.

BTW, you say that I'm harsh but you pick Holyfield to knock out Rocky in 4 rounds? Who did he exactly knocked out that quickly? How can you bet that Rocky would be stopped when he proved to have iron chin against at least comparable punchers?

I have a ton of respect for Rocky Marciano but I believe Holyfield and his versatility would be too much for him. Think about all of the legitimate huge and powerful Heavweights that he was able to hang in there with during his career. He wasn't just tough, he could move and box, brawl on the inside and do whatever it took to win. As much as I like Rocky, he is just not as versatile as Holyfield. I will go with the Real Deal by UD. I do believe Holyfield was better than everyone of Rocky's opponents. Moore and Charles were at their best at 175 and Louis was old and faded under Rocky's pressure.

Please what an ignorant comment. Evander made 189 pounds without problems at 25 in his prime. When He wanted to compete against the bigger guys at heavyweight He used roids, hormone and trained like mad in the gym to weigh barelly 209 poor pounds, does not matter the height,he had skinny frame he was even a lhw in his early career weighing 176-177 pounds. If you can make 187 pounds at 25 being in good shape without being packed of added muscle then you are a natural cruiser

Holyfield was still immensely muscular at 190lbs, more so than Marciano who looked chubby in comparison
