(190lbs)Evander Holyfield vs Rocky Marciano @ cruiserweight (185lbs)

So you agree with me that he was a natural cruiser right? If he was muscular even at 187 pounds at 6'2 of height is because his frame was not that big. He was ripped at cruiser but he did not have volume like he had at hw. Does not matter the definition, marciano was a short guy with thick structure of bone and was stronger than the 187pounder version of evander.

Holyfield would have beaten Charles,imo and he beats Marciano.He has the chin ,the conditioning ,the will, and the skill.

 

CW Holyfield? I wouldn't pick him over prime HW Charles and I know that Charles wasn't bigger.

 

I love evander but at cruiser i think that he was not ready for a proved legend like marciano. We have to be fair with rocky, i am the first one who says that he was too small to beat great big hws but... Against a green guy who weighed the same? I pick Rocky

 

I'd like some clarification.Is this the cruiser Holy as was or,a more experienced Holy who hasnt added weight physically? As to Evander looking,skinny with a thin neck at under190lbs,I think he compares favourably with Lastarza,Cokkell,Moore,Charles from a physical stand point.

 

Freakish physical strength what feats?
Aside from the bag not being that guy I’m just curios i know little of Rocky.

 

Probably around 20% + bodyfat, compared to Holyfield who was probably 7% or so

Holyfield bullied everyone at Cruser, he was strong AF

 

I think this has been done before. Amazing fantasy war. Holyfield at his best, in my opinion, is a monstrous challenge for any heavyweight who ever lived. Even this crusier version was a beast who would give Marciano all he could handle with his fiery heart and technical skill. However, I do see Marciano beginning to push him back towards the end of 15 rounds, after losing the early going, and score a close decision. He is the harder puncher here, and just ups Holy on the work-rate field too.

 

Everyone in his era. No of them was the animal that the rock was at 188 pounds

 

Moore quoted him as the strongest man he ever faced plus stronger than Joe Frazier, he literally lifted Bernie Reynolds into the air when he knocked him out, of course the mauling of a 300lbs heavybag, if you look at Rocky's build it conveys freakish farmboy strength with his big forearms and legs, and he never took a step back in the ring unless forced by the ref

 

I think Rocky can take this one at the weights mentioned in a tough decision.

Evander looked sturdier and a better fighter all round imo when he went up to heavyweight.
If you had Evander at 190 with the extra experience and fights under his belt that he added in the heavyweights, I'd feel more confident in picking him.
