1921 Jack Dempsey vs Deontay "Burger Squad" Wilder

Is this a joke? Im a big critic of Wilder but he would demolish a fighter from 100 years ago, Dempsey included. So would ANY other top 10 fighter of today. Dempsey can't hang with modern day fighters.

This is like pitting a LHW Carl Froch vs. Wilder. A joke of a fight.

 

I think Dempsey would do it. He has the speed and footwork to close in and land on anybody. And we have seen the effect of his power punches on Willard, who was 20lb heavier and imho much tougher than Wilder. I would put money on Jack stopping him early.

Fight wouldn't happen.

When Deontay sees Jack Dempsey up close in greyscale he'll cancell the fight, "not postpone, cancel!" because he'll be certain that that cheating scumbag is on peds. He then fights Porky Dan Flynn instead, who's also in greyscale, but much less dangerous and clearly past it of course.
If afterwards is determined by WADA/VADA and much, much later the WBC too that the reason that these guys walk around in greyscale is because in their time they hadn't invented colors yet, and not because they're onto something, then Wilder still won't fight because of the injury sustained against Porky leaves him out of contention for the rest of the year. Fighters from one hundred years ago don't compare at all with today's fights, not in terms of technique nor in athleticism. The great champions of that era would barely hang with average club fights today, and would get demolished by all the top pros. On top of that Dempsey would be the equivalent of a LHW. Today he would be a tiny bum. So to answer your question Dempsey by brutal KO.

 

Jack beat the **** out of Jess Willard who was the same height AND HEAVIER than Burgerboy. Jack would probably retire Burgerboy.
