I think the great Mickey Walker just might run Coetzee pretty close...might beat em. (Off topic but I think James Toney could as well.)

Page was ko'ing decent fighters in 81 and he'd win this one rest assured. Have a look at the Ward, Monroe, Evangelista and LeDoux fights. Quite scary at times.

Agreed. He was a very talented young heavy.

Doesn't change your vote to make me happy. I was just trying to figure out your logic in voting for the smaller, slower, inferior boxer.

I don't really have firm stance on Page or Levinsky. It's a pick 'em fight for me.

    I have it 7 wins for 1981, and 2 wins for 1931.

No call on Griffiths vs Cobb.

As far as the heavys in the 1980's go, none had more overall talent, Dokes included. Tubbs come close as far as boxing ability, but no one else.

Are these matchups done by ranking or any kind of system?
Or did you just kinda do it randomly?

Pretty sure they were done by ranking.

Page was a lot more talented, but he was certainly inconsistent enough to lose to Levinsky on the day.

Were Tubbs', Cooney's, Page's, Doke's and Page's addition to blow worse than Baer's addiction to *****? That is the question.

And if you are in doubt of who among these I envy the most, it aint even a contest.
