1920, the Schmeling who ko'd Louis steps in against the Dempsey who stopped Brennan in 13. 15 rounds. I'm assuming no neutral corner; if any of our Dempseyologists know differently, let us know!

    Who wins, and how?

It's hard to say. Verydifferent styles
Schmeling started quite slow against Louis, (so did Louis a bit), and didn't have to move much ......

Whereas Dempsey had a fleet-footed style, and started quite fast, even if not as sharp as he should have been on this particular night ....

    From a distance,the crowd may get confused,at times,due to Max and Jack's slight resemblance.:D

I guess the Schmeling argument is, if Brennan was able to put a right on Dempsey that had Dempsey fogged a while, would Schmeling, countering Jack on a somewhat off night for Dempsey, have been able to maintain the fog?

Yep, and I think he would have been able. But then I´m the biggest Schmeling supporter on here and when there is a chance to pick him, I do so. :D
