    Absolutely pugs.
I remember when Tyson Fury was koing wilder, the fantasy fights had him beating Ali, Foreman and Frazier, all on the same night... And blindfolded!

You’re not wrong Ferg and you’re barely exaggerating there. Lol.

For one thing, the heady predictions were made while Tyson’s career was still in progress and he had yet to face several of his key contemporaries - even so, he was still being given “paper” (“fantasy”) advantage over guys like AJ who, to this day, Fury has never faced.

Everyone assumed that the Ngannou fight would be easy peasey for Tyson and we all saw what happened there.

    Lol certainly did, mate.
Be good to look back on Fury's career when he's been retired for a decade of so.
And there's an absolute killer holding the heavyweight titles.

I see him outboxing Joe throughout but Usyk also tends to get hit quite often which isn’t a knock on his defense, anyone who takes as many risks and has a workrate as he does will get hit often. Louis isn’t someone you want to take those risks against, so I see him ending it at some point.

I think Joe hits him with a clean right hand and puts Usyk down at least once which would be the difference in a good competitive fight. Joe didn't like lefties.

Personally I think Dempsey would be faster than OU and win in 12, Ali would outbox him, maybe stop him on cuts, Holy field would win a decision, Wlad would ko him, Lewis might decision him, Bowe might beat him on decision, Liston and Foreman could ko him. I honestly think Usyk would stay away from M Tyson for 4 rounds then win a decision or ko Mike as Iron Mike gasses.

He beats AJ and Tyson Fury twice each.

I don't. Prime Ali whoops him -- there's nothing he does better than prime Ali. Ken Norton might well beat him too. Prime Tyson, Lennox Lewis, maybe Holyfield...

Don't get me wrong. Usyk matches up very well across the ATG's. But he's not running that gauntlet.

Usyk has an ATG level chin. That's why he takes those risks -- he can tank it and knows it.

It’s not wise to tank it against Louis though. He also hasn’t tanked as many consecutive combo punches from as precise a puncher as Louis either, not denying Usyk’s durability and toughness considering the super heavys he’s fought but he’s also not exactly un-hurtable either.

That chin has never been hit by someone with the oomph of prime Joe Louis.

Louis didn’t just knock people out. He messed them up. He literally scarred them for life. If his autobiography is correct and not just the musings of Art Rust Jr. his ghostwriter, he got a kick out of it too, he may have had a poker face but he was a mean MF.

I don't think he gets hit that often and even when he does he's usually rolling with shots or blocking them. He rarely gets hit clean which is how he's able to hang with SHWs.

Usually, yes, but at the rate Usyk works at even when you usually block or roll with shots there are still plenty that get their way through. It’s the cost of being an offensive workhorse with the output he has, not to mention Louis likely had the fastest hands Usyk’s dealt with and would be the most precise puncher he’s dealt with as well.

If Usyk can adapt and lower his output significantly then I could see him winning a decision but he’s not really Usyk if he’s not taking those risks. Cruiserweight Usyk had some of the craziest output statistics I’ve seen at that size even compared to much smaller fighters.
