    Joe Louis

What happens and how does Foreman do? Louis would be giving away about the same amount of weight that Holyfield did. Holyfield was 208 pounds, Louis would be 200 pounds and Foreman would be 257 pounds.

3:31 George fully extending his arms to keep Holy out of range while still being in the longer Foreman punching range this would help him vs the shorter armed Louis who`s reach I would like to know because that would be a key factor in George landing his power shots vs the vastly superior fighter defensive wise in Louis, best time for Foreman to hit Louis would be on the counter, he would have to counter everything Louis threw, I saw two unanswered punches by Holy up to this point, not good and I`ve seen the fight before, I think that`s what let George, I feel Galento applied more pressure and was on top of most stuff that Louis did in terms of constantly threatening to attack, Foreman just couldn`t fight with that intensity here.

4:47 Louis staggers back from a vicious hook that was thrown from a crouch, Foreman at his age in `90 could not punch with that kind of speed and didn`t come in from a crouch.

George would take a bit more time to chop down. He would have his moments no doubt but Louis would still chop him down. George was an old man by then. It’s not a fair fight.

You think George could score a knockdown?

It could happen, probably not though.

I don't see either man scoring a kd to be honest. Foreman would be marching forward and doing good for the first couple of rounds .But Joe s accurate punches would start to pound in to Foreman's head.
By the middle rounds , George s face would be swollen and cut .
Round about the ninth a dazed Foreman would be pulled out by the ref.

Louis would fight him similarly to the way he fought Baer. Jab, move quick on the outside, be agile and mobile.
He would manage distance on Foreman similarly to Holyfield, but he'll hit like a mule.
Foreman would get TKO'd in the 6th in my prediction.

I think this is a plausible scenario.

What if Louis managed to land a 17 punch combination like Holyfield did in round 7, you think George could stand under that?

the best ver of George gave the best holy trouble who was the top 5 best skilled hw ever Louis would not be moving close to holy did he would be walking front like he always did with bad footwork and be destroyed

his defense wasnt great or movement and wasnt tough to taking shots he never took any shots from a real hw who mover good or one who knew how to use their size which George always knew how to do

Prime Louis would tee off on old Foreman. He couldn't miss.

Foreman wa faster in the 70`s but still a lot slower than Loyuis, older George got out-boxed by Morrison who had nowherre near the skill level of Louis, Foreman was far easier to hit than Louis and Louis had a lot more power than Holy.

he was slower but you just showed a mistake in what you said you said tommy outboxed George right he did he moved good and countered

louis didnt move anything like tom he moved straight forward by tiptoeing which was slow and didnt have good defense
louis would need to move around to survive not just tiptoe

and no louis didnt have more power then holy louis didnt fight real hw or did he fight hws that moved good like holy fought

it's way different hitting a person who moves around good like holy fought where he had to make a effort to find or make a clean shot

compared to ones that just stand right there in front of you and brawl and you can hit at them clean anytime you want like Louis fought

George stopped pushing alot in 90s he fixed flaws
    he punched with better tech
he stopped wasting punches as much
    he still cut off good
nothing Louis ever fought was close to this

want me to link a vid like I have did earlier this week and nobody will show me as wrong

According to you Louis was about as skilled as Jerry Lewis. "Sailor Beware".
To think Nobody moved good then is a wild conclusion.
Oh & the ones that were smaller? They tended to be faster than the behemoths today, easily.
Which helped them move very well. Charles, Walcott, Moore were very good-masterful "movers".
To say Louis did not have more power than Holyfield is equally untenable.
Louis did great against huge HWs.

Oh by the way anything that makes weight for a division in that era is a "real" HW.
He fought some that would not be HWs in later years.
Some who would easily be or be SHWs-The Baer brothers, Simon, Carnera...

Foreman was too slow to cut off so well in his second career.
Anyway I will not do the opposite of you, malign anything modern like you do to any old-timers, no matter how great.
I guess Louis was just lucky to hold the title for ~ 12 years!
